| Gose poured
a cloudy, straw color with a thin, finger width, white head. The aroma was mild, a little sour funk, with light malt.
The body is smooth, with a light malt base, faint citrus and fruity notes. There is a distinct sour tartness at the
end and the salt starts to peek through a bit. The finish is mild, with light spices and a light dryness. Overall,
this is a really nice example of an interesting Summer style that is starting to gain some more recognition. The malted
wheat in the body gives a nice backbone as well as providing balance to the sour twinge at the end that works amazingly well.
This is a great light, refreshing beer to have during the warmer months. Evan's Gose is worth the drive to Albany.
