Defiant Tripel poured a
cloudy, golden yellow color with a two fingered width, frothy white head. The aroma is wonderful, with citrus, pale
malt, and spices all blending together. The body is smooth, with a full mouthfeel, a thick pale malt base, spices throughout,
and citrus (green apple, lemon and orange). The finish is crisp, with faint hops anda lingering earthiness that comes
alive after not showing much in the body. Overall, this is a nice take on the complex Belgian style. There is
a nice structure here and it hides the ABV well.
